Superbuy Spreadsheet Glossary: Every Term You'll Encounter, Translated

Every superbuy spreadsheet guide uses the same jargon as if everyone already understands it. This article is the opposite - a plain-English glossary. Alphabetical, concise, covers every term you'll meet in haul videos, sheet rows and the superbuy app itself.

A

Agent

A shopping agent is a service that buys items in China on behalf of international buyers. Superbuy is one; so are hipobuy, kakobuy, and others. The agent receives the item at its warehouse, inspects it, and then ships internationally when you're ready.

Air line

A shipping line that transports your parcel from the agent's warehouse to your country by air. Different lines offer different prices, speeds and insurance levels.

Anchor piece

The main item in a parcel. Usually a sneaker, hoodie or jacket - something with weight and value that justifies the shipping overhead. See the wear-frequency article for anchor picks worth considering.

B

Batching

Combining several items into one parcel instead of shipping them separately. Reduces average shipping cost per piece significantly.

Boxy

A fit descriptor: short in length, wide across the chest, structured drape. Common on streetwear hoodies and tees. Covered in the fit archetypes guide.

C

Consolidation

The process of combining items at the warehouse into a single parcel. Also called "parcel building." Standard practice for superbuy users.

cm sizing

Sellers list measurements in centimetres rather than relying on label sizes. The reliable way to size on superbuy - measure a piece you own and match cm to cm.

D

Deep-link

When a spreadsheet row's URL opens the superbuy app directly on the exact product. The sheet does this automatically.

Duplicates (duplicate rows)

Multiple sheet rows pointing at what looks like the same product, usually from different sellers. Compare them before clicking - usually the mid-priced duplicate is the right one.

F

Filler

A light, low-cost item added to a parcel to improve average shipping cost per piece. Tees, caps, socks, belts. See the seven-day rotation article for specific filler picks.

Freight

Another word for the shipping cost from warehouse to your door. Usually the second-largest cost in a parcel after the items themselves.

G

GSM

"Grams per square metre" - a measure of fabric density. The higher the GSM, the heavier and more structured the fabric. 300+ gsm = heavy hoodies; 180-220 gsm = heavy tees.

H

Haul

A video or post showing the items from a recently delivered parcel. Common on YouTube and TikTok. A good source of pre-order research, with the caveat that hauls show unboxing-day impressions rather than long-term durability.

L

Line (shipping line)

See "air line" - interchangeable terminology.

Listing

The actual product page inside the superbuy app that a sheet row links to.

M

Mid-tier

A fit, price, or line descriptor meaning "the middle option, not the extremes." Mid-tier shipping is the usual recommendation. Mid-priced duplicates are usually the right pick.

O

Oversized

A fit descriptor meaning intentionally larger than regular sizing. The piece drapes loosely and falls below where a regular-sized version would. More in the fit archetypes guide.

P

Parcel

The physical box of items shipped internationally from the warehouse to your door. Usually contains several items batched together.

Pruning

The periodic removal of unreliable or outdated rows from the sheet. The 2026 edition had a notable pruning pass - see the trends report.

Q

QC (Quality Control)

The free photos the warehouse takes of each item on arrival. Your actual quality check - zoom in, inspect, approve or request a return before the parcel ships.

R

Reference brand

The brand or model a listing is based on. The sheet typically names this in each row so you know what you're actually buying.

Reliability ordering

The sheet's practice of placing more-reliable rows at the top of each tab and more-experimental ones further down. Introduced systematically in the 2026 edition.

S

Seller

An individual or small business inside the superbuy app selling specific product listings. Not the same as superbuy itself - superbuy is the agent, the seller is the actual merchant.

Shortlist

A running note of items you plan to buy next. Kept outside the superbuy app to prevent impulse purchases.

Spreadsheet

The community-curated document - usually at sheetcn.com - that collects verified superbuy links by category.

T

Tab

A category view inside the sheet. Shoes, Hoodies/Sweaters, T-Shirts, Jackets, Pants/Shorts, Headwear, Accessories, Other Stuff.

Tags

Metadata next to a row - fabric weight, embroidered vs printed, color options, sometimes seller tier. Added increasingly across the 2026 refresh.

W

Warehouse

The storage facility in China where items from sellers accumulate until you consolidate them into a parcel. Storage is free for a long window.

Weight class

A fabric-weight descriptor applied to hoodies, tees and jackets. Lightweight, midweight, heavyweight, super-heavyweight.

Terms you can safely ignore

How to use this glossary

Keep it bookmarked for your first few parcels. By your third parcel, most terms will be internalised. When new terms appear (and they will), add them to a personal note - the sheet's vocabulary continues to evolve.
